‘143‘ is #1!
The seventh studio effort from Katy Perry, the new album – released just midnight on Friday (September 20) – is already seeing the Pop diva reclaim a familiar position around the globe.
More inside.
Peruse of the updated Worldwide Apple Music sales chart finds Perry printed at #3 thanks to a warm global reception from her beloved fans (affectionately called #KatyCats).
Beyond soaring to #1 on the tallies of 14 countries including major international markets like Brazil, China, and Argentina, the 11-song set has stormed the top 10 of over 80 other countries including the United States, France, Canada, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, Egypt, and more.
Faring even better on the Worldwide iTunes sales chart, Perry’s printed at #1 as a result of topping the real-time commercial listings of 17 countries and counting including Portugal, New Zealand, Israel, Colombia, Brazil, Belgium, and more (as of time reported) as well as zooming to the top 10 of over 30 major international markets like India, Germany, United States, South Africa, Spain, United Kingdom, and Singapore.
Once combined with streaming figures and sales data from all the major digital platforms, the iTunes and Apple Music stats above seem poised to help hoist ‘143’ to a handsome first-week commercial performance in Perry’s native country (USA).
