The Los Angeles-area home where Miley Cyrus shot her Flowers music video has been sold.
The four bedroom, six bathroom San Fernando Valley mansion served as the backdrop for her hit song, rumored to be about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth and released in January 2023.
In the video, Miley strips down to a black lingerie set for a swim in the pool, works out in the home gym, and also appears in a sweltering shower scene.
The property was rented by beloved crooner Frank Sinatra from 1960-1964, according to TMZ, but per other accounts he may have leased it for a decade.
Featuring 6,661 sprawling square footage, it brings in up to $1.2 million for homeowners who rent it out for Hollywood shoots.
Sinatra’s former home — where John F. Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe are said to have played out their affair — was initially listed in 2021 for $21.5 million.
Monroe sublet the property’s guest house from Sinatra, and the swimming pool is said to be the site of one of the star’s final photoshoots.
The luxurious pad is now referred to as Byrdview and has undergone a huge remodel since Sinatra’s 1960s heyday.
It has appeared in the hit AMC drama Mad Men as well as in music videos for A-listers including Mariah Carey, Usher and Rihanna.
The mansion is perched on a hilltop with 360-degree views over LA, the mountains, and the surrounding 3,000 acres of nature preserve.
The location offers great privacy as it cannot be seen from the road.
Set on 4.3 acres, the structure’s floor-to-ceiling windows allow the sun to drench its rooms in natural light.
Deluxe finishes include a bar and a large chef’s kitchen. The house is also decked out with state-of-the-art appliances and a handful of fireplaces.
Flowers is the tune that earned Cyrus her first Grammy, which she scored in 2024 for Best Pop Solo Performance. The song also took home the Record of the Year prize.
The hit also got the singer-songwriter in legal turmoil, with Tempo Music Investments suing her for copyright infringement.
The company claims Miley’s song goes too far in borrowing elements from Bruno Mars 2012 track When I Was Your Man.
TMI has accused her of ‘intentionally copying’ the previous song’s chord progressions in her chorus and verses.
Its lawsuit stated, ‘It is undeniable based on the combination and number of similarities between the two recordings that Flowers would not exist without When I Was Your Man.’
Miley has fought back with a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
Although Bruno penned the song with help from writers Philip Lawrence, Ari Levine and Andrew Wyatt, he is not involved in the suit.
Tempo Music Investments was able to bring on the lawsuit after purchasing a stake in the recording from one of the four songwriters.
According to a report from Bloomberg Law, Cyrus is arguing that because TMI purchased one cowriter’s share without consent from the others, it doesn’t have the right to sue.
