The Comox Valley Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with I-HOS Gallery, proudly announces the opening of its latest Quarterly Rotating Art Exhibition on Thursday, March 20 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Chamber Business Hub.
This exhibition, featuring contemporary and traditional works by Indigenous artists, highlights the rich cultural heritage and artistic excellence of our region. Attendees will have the opportunity to engage with the creative talents of Rachel Antoine, Tommy Brown, Heather Curtis, Gilbert Dawson, Jeanette Le Berge, George Littlechild, Jenja McIntyre, and River Ross. Each piece in the exhibition reflects the depth and diversity of Indigenous artistry, offering a unique glimpse into stories, traditions, and modern interpretations of cultural identity.
This exhibition is part of the Quarterly Rotating Art Exhibition Series, a collaboration between the Chamber Business Hub, CV/Arts, ARTWRX Studio/Gallery Society, I-HOS Gallery, and Spirits of the West Coast Art Gallery. The initiative underscores the essential role of arts in fostering both cultural vibrancy and economic growth within the Comox Valley.
Beyond the opening reception, the exhibition will be available for public viewing at the Chamber Business Hub in Downtown Courtenay, Monday to Friday from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (excluding holidays). Community members and visitors are encouraged to explore the collection and experience the stories behind each work. All art sales are conducted directly through the exhibiting organization.
Are you an artist? If you are interested in showcasing your work in future exhibitions, please reach out to the arts organization you are a member of for more information on participation opportunities. CV/Arts has an open call for work to fill the Chamber’s summer show.
