NOWIE launches ‘Stride & Social’ networking event

The Network of Women in Events (NOWIE) has launched Stride & Social, a new event designed to foster connections, movement, and wellbeing for women across the events industry to step away from the usual networking scene.

Taking place on Saturday, 29 March 2025, at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford, this event brings together women in events for an energising 5K run or a gentle 2-3K walk, followed by a relaxed networking breakfast at Riverside East.

Participants can securely leave their belongings at the venue before heading out, ensuring a seamless experience from start to finish.

Cat Kevern, director of NOWIE, said: “Stride & Social is about coming together in a different way, getting outdoors, prioritising wellbeing, and creating meaningful industry connections in a relaxed setting. At NOWIE, we believe that networking doesn’t have to be confined to boardrooms and bars.”

Jess Sariak, NOWIE’s new Run Club producer, shared her excitement about delivering this unique opportunity: “I’m thrilled to join NOWIE and launch Stride & Social as our first running and walking event. Movement and community go hand in hand, and this event is a fantastic opportunity for women in events to connect in a new and energising way. I can’t wait to see this become a regular part of the NOWIE calendar.”

Stride & Social is open to all who identify as women and work in or around the events industry, from organisers and suppliers to freelancers and agency professionals.

With many industry events traditionally centred around late-night networking and alcohol, this event offers a fresh alternative focused on wellbeing, community, and shared experiences.

Tickets are available now via www.nowie.org.
