
Rapper Eminem’s former employee has been charged with criminal infringement of a copyright after he tried selling his unreleased music, reported The Rolling Stone.
The FBI was alerted about the act after another employer of Eminem discovered the artiste’s unreleased songs online. Among the individuals identified for the theft was the ex-staff Joseph Strange, who was employed with Eminem from 2007 to 2021.

“Protecting intellectual property from thieves is critical in safeguarding the exclusive rights of creators and protecting their original work from reproduction and distribution by individuals who seek to profit from the creative output of others,” said Acting United States Attorney Julie Beck, while announcing the charges against Strange.
Strange will be facing a maximum penalty of five years if found guilty and a fine of $250,000.
Earlier, the artiste was in the news after reports suggested he might be holding concerts in India soon. However, nothing has been confirmed till now.
On the work front, Eminem last released the track Houdini.
