Parker Heath joins RH through artist collaboration

SAN DIEGO — Artist and designer Parker Heath has announced a new collaboration with RH, bringing his abstract artworks to the high-end retailer through a licensed partnership with Los Angeles-based art publisher General Public.

Heath, founder of the lifestyle brand PAR KER made, is one of 35 artists selected by General Public, a company known for its Synograph reproduction technology that gives prints the appearance of original works. Heath’s pieces are now available as part of RH’s art offerings.

“This is a huge honor,” Heath said. “To be featured alongside such a talented roster and to have my work carried by RH is truly a dream come true.”

The new collection includes eight of Heath’s original designs, rendered in General Public’s textured print format. His work, which he describes as “modern primitive,” features twisting, kinetic lines, neutral tones and heavy textures, often incorporating materials such as coffee grounds into the paint to create a tactile surface.

Heath’s relationship with General Public began after a meeting at High Point Market, where he saw the Synograph process in action. The technology replicates the dimensionality and detail of the original artworks, giving each print the appearance of a hand-painted piece.

General Public, founded by actor and art collector Portia de Rossi, focuses on making fine art more widely accessible by reproducing curated works from a limited selection of professional artists. Heath, a San Diego native, is among a group of 75 artists represented by the publisher.

Heath’s past projects include licensed collections with wallpaper companies Wall Snobs and Ayara Home, as well as a design collaboration with Vans for its BMX collection.
