Black Sherif, a singer from Ghana, has revealed what his future may have been like if he had not chosen to pursue music as a vocation.
In an interview with the Afro Select Show, the “Konongo Zon go” hitmaker stated that he would probably be working in his father’s spare parts company or selling used clothing in Accra.
“If I weren’t doing music right now, I would most likely be working extremely hard and making garments in Accra, or perhaps I would be in Konongo selling my father’s tires.
“It’s a family business; my dad sells spare engines, spare parts, and that stuff,” he said.
In his reflections on his final year of high school in Kumasi, Black Sherif also disclosed that, even though he was a boarder, he frequently slipped out of class to partake in gambling and dancing, especially in the vicinity of Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST).
“I didn’t much enjoy going to school in high school. He laughed and said, “I used to sneak out to go dance or gamble in Tech.”
Black Sherif, meanwhile, is presently touring Europe in support of his just released album, “Iron Boy,” which was made available on April 3, 2025.
