TULSA, Okla. –
Some of the country’s top Native American artists are in Tulsa this weekend for the Mvskoke (Muscogee) Art Market.
Visitors can explore Native art from nearly 100 artists, featuring everything from paintings and pottery to jewelry and sculpture. The event also includes lectures and hands-on activities.
Artist Starr Hardridge won Best in Show for his piece titled “Peaceful Sunrise.”
“It features these two sacred egret white crane birds. The painting represents unity and peace and balance and harmony,” Hardridge said.
For those who missed the market on Saturday, it continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the River Spirit Casino Resort.
