Dana White Shares 1-Word Reaction as Power Slap’s Social Media Numbers Reportedly Soar

Dana White, the UFC CEO, is involved with multiple sporting ventures. One of White’s favorites is Power Slap, a slap fighting promotion company, which has garnered mixed reactions from the fighters and fans of the MMA community.

Dana White Reacts to Increase in Power Slap’s Social Media Numbers

White has always praised Power Slap’s viewership and social media reach. However, the 55-year-old’s bold claims have often garnered negative responses, with fans often calling them false.

Recently, the Instagram handle “freak.mma” highlighted Power Slap’s achievements on their IG story, which White shared with a one-word caption: “Boooooom!!!”

As per the report, Power Slap has more than 22 million combined followers on all major social media platforms, with total views exceeding 13 billion. Moreover, the league has more followers than PFL MMA, a notable rival promotion of the UFC, on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

Notably, Power Slap also has the most-viewed YouTube shorts and TikTok videos of all time — over mammoths like UFC, ESPN, NFL, NBA, MLB, and others. Two hundred seven of its videos have more than 10 million viewership, with 13 having 100+ million.

Still, White’s involvement in Power Slap has rubbed many the wrong way. Many have urged the promoter to stick to where he’s best, the UFC, which became a billion-dollar business from a few million with his involvement.

Popular MMA Personality Urges White To Fully Concentrate on UFC

Notorious MMA personality, MMA Guru, whose real name remains undisclosed, recently criticized White for his boxing and Power Slap involvement. In an exclusive interview with Demetrius “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, he shared his thoughts.

“Dana should start promoting fights again and acting as the president of the UFC,” Guru said. “That’s a f***ing traitor. That’s a traitor right there to the UFC. I honestly believe this: fire Dana White and put me in the job, and I’ll promote the UFC.”

The MMA personality also pointed out the double standards in UFC’s treatment of fighters, citing the examples of Jon Jones and Muhammad Mokaev. While Jones receives favorable treatment from White despite his numerous legal troubles, Mokaev was let go by the UFC for an alleged backstage altercation.

Guru even made a hilarious analogy to describe White working for the UFC and professional boxing.

“Let’s say the UFC is a Chinese restaurant, and boxing is an Indian restaurant across the street. And the Indian restaurant’s doing good,” he said.

“Why is the f***ing owner of the Chinese restaurant nipping out across the street to the Indian one and helping them promote their restaurant when it’s failing?” he added.

Guru said White shouldn’t work “part-time” with the UFC and even suggested an alternative solution; he would like UFC CFO Hunter Campbell to step up to promote it.
