(WJAR) — A social media creator known for the “50 Dates 50 States” series made a stop in Cranston for his date in Rhode Island.
Matt Wurning, who created the series that has accumulated close to 400 million views, travels to all 50 states and goes on a date with a different woman in each state.
Wurning made is stop in Cranston on Tuesday, where he and his date, Abby, visited Topgolf.
“I’m very grateful for the platform I built and the series I’ve created and the creativity behind it and everything, but I am a very lucky guy. I’m very fortunate to go on dates with great gals like Abby and live those different experiences through the dates I go on,” he said.
According to Wurning, he started the series during the COVID-19 pandemic when he went on virtual dates with people from 50 states. He then visited them to have in-person dates, creating the first season of his social media series.
“I was looking to explore and expand my horizons and meet people, and just show what’s out there and who’s out there,” Wurning said.
He is now on the road for season three of his “50 Dates 50 States” series, and Rhode Island was the 22nd stop.
Wurning told NBC 10 News that he is headed to Massachusetts next.
