Bilyonaryo Lance Gokongwei marveled at artistic masterpieces when he dropped by the 2024 Art Fair Philippines at the Link in Makati City.
The president and CEO of the Gokongwei Group also got the chance to chat with renowned contemporary Filipino painter Rodel Tapaya, who was among the artists featured in the fair.
Gokongwei shared on Facebook a photo of himself with Tapaya and a small artwork.
“Enjoyed chatting with Rodel Tapaya about art and publishing when I dropped by Art Fair Philippines at the Link in Makati,” Gokongwei said. “So many works of art at the fair, so many talented Filipino artists.”
Tapaya, who’s known for his mural-like paintings, has done solo exhibits in Singapore, Japan, China and Germany. His artwork, Baston ni Kabunian, Bilang Pero di Mabilang, won the Asia-Pacific Breweries Foundation and Singapore Art Museum Signature Art Prize.
