NJCU considers selling Visual Arts building

Cash-strapped New Jersey City University, still attempting to recover from its financial crisis, is considering the sale of its Visual Arts Center, a 60,500-square-foot facility on Culver Avenue.

Real estate giant CBRE has been retained to explore a possible sale of the approximately 1.3-acre site that was transferred to the university from the New Jersey Educational Facilities Authority for $1 in 2015. The building was built in 2003 and underwent some upgrades in 2011.
