Bay College is excited to announce the reception for the Student Art Exhibition, which celebrates the success of our art students at Bay College! We look forward to this exhibition at the end of each semester; their work will be displayed in the Besse Gallery from December 6 through January 2024.
The Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony is on Thursday, December 7 at 2:00 pm ET – this will be an opportunity to meet the artists and engage in conversations about their works.
This exhibition represents the culmination of a semester of work for these students, which will feature drawings, videos, sculpture, and performance art.
By using a variety of media to produce their compelling works, the students are learning to create unified compositions that effectively communicate their ideas and expertise. The exhibited works originate from the following art classes: Digital Cinema I & II, Intro to Art Design, Performance and Installation, and Drawing I & II. This is a juried art show in which one artwork per course will be purchased and become part of Bay’s Permanent Art Collection; 2nd and 3rd place winners will receive monetary awards.
