How Artists Can Sell and Brand Their Work | Lucknow News

Lucknow: Artists learnt how to digitise their artworks in the two-day workshop-cum-training programme titled, ‘Self branding for artists’ that began at State Lalit Kala Akademi on Tuesday.
Director of (SLKA) Shraddha Shukla welcomed participants and experts.
Prof Satyam Srivastava from National Academy of Defence Production (NADP), Nagpur, taught artists about how within limited resources they can improve branding and marking of their artworks for better sales.
As many as 25 artists are participating in the workshop in which theory and practical sessions are being held to help them make watermarks for their products, QR codes for better communication and teaser advertisements for sales.
The artists are also being trained on creating social media pages and details regarding copyright. They were also taught about how one piece of art can be used in multiple products. For example, an artist can make a mandala design on canvas and print it on products like t-shirts and mugs.
A participant of the workshop, Saurabh Chauhan, said, “I got to know how to sell my work and learnt about branding tools.”
“My goal is to make artists independent by teaching them branding strategies to get their works noticed. In the world of digitalisation artists should have cut to cut ideas about how to sell their work online,” said Prof Satyam.
The certificates will be given to the participants after the workshop.
