The Wyoming Women’s Business Center (WWBC) proudly presents a new, educational workshop entitled, “How to Start an Art Therapy Journal.”

This course is being presented in-person by WWBC’s Mental Wellness Director, Rachel Truett, MA, PPC, NCC, in collaboration with WWBC’s Artist Development Director, Desiree Brothe.

It will be held at the Cheyenne Creativity Center, on Wednesday, June 26th, from 12-2 PM.

Its course description is as follows: This workshop will guide you through creating an art journal practice, where we will learn about the importance of art journaling. We will utilize neurographic art, a technique that enables a connection between the conscious and unconscious mind, helping you to explore your inner self. Participants will create a page in their journal using this method and will learn more about how to continue the practice at home.

The WWBC will be providing all participants with supplies to create their own art journal, such as the journal itself, pens, sharpie markers, and watercolors, as well as take-home prompts to continue this practice in the future. This course is being offered FREE of charge to only 15 registrants, so we encourage everyone to act quickly if you are wanting to reserve a spot!
