She not only adorned mehendi on the hands of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant but also introduced unique designs to the guests at the celebration. Veena was born into a middle-class family and completed her SSC, but she wasn’t allowed to pursue further studies. This led her to start embroidering sarees and practising mehendi application. Her big break came when she applied mehendi at the wedding of veteran actor Sanjay Khan’s daughter, Farah Khan Ali. Since then, she has become the go-to celebrity mehendi artist for major Bollywood weddings.
Her art has also been featured in numerous films, including, “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Patiyala House,Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai,Kal Ho Na Ho, God Tussi Great Ho, U Me Aur Hum, Yeh Jawaani Hai Dewaani. Also, her mehendi designs were showcased in Falguni Pathak’s famous track Maine Payal Hai Chhankayi.
How Much Veena Nagda Charges?
Currently, Veena is one of the most sought-after mehendi artists in Bollywood. Her clientele includes prominent names such as Nita Ambani, Isha Ambani, Shloka Mehta, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, and Natasha Dalal, among others. In an interview, Veena was quoted by Jagran TV saying, “As for my normal charges, for the bride, it starts from Rs 3,000 to 7,000 rupees, and includes both hands and feet. For guests, it is Rs 50 to Rs 75 per hand. I don’t charge for celebrity weddings. They pay me according to their wishes and it has always been more than expected.”
