Here’s when the York River Art Market is back this summer

The York River Art Market is a much-loved part of the city summer – and it’s back for 2024.

It will once again be taking over the Dame Judi Dench Walk, next to the Ouse, in August.

An array of artists will be showcasing their creative wares all along the riverside railings, where visitors can browse and purchase to their heart’s content.

The dates for York River Art Market are:

  • Saturday 3 August
  • Sunday 4 August
  • Saturday 10 August
  • Sunday 11 August
  • Saturday 17 August
  • Sunday 18 August

A different group of more than 30 indie artists will be at each market.

There will be something for everyone, with paintings, prints, jewellery, textiles, glass work, ceramics, and more to peruse. The art market also aims to cater for all budgets too, and is free to attend.

All the markets will take place from 10am to 5pm.

As always, York River Art Market will be supporting a range of charities – including York Rescue Boat this year.
