Could Morgan Wallen sell out a third show at Neyland Stadium in Knoxville?

Country superstar Morgan Wallen is well on his way to selling out two surprise concerts at Neyland Stadium. Could he possibly do a third?

Wallen originally had no plans to make a hometown stop during the 2024 leg of his popular One Night at a Time tour. But a College World Series championship win for Tennessee baseball changed all of that. And in a matter of three days, he had scheduled two shows at Neyland Stadium, marking the first concerts at the venue since 2019.

Wallen is slated to perform at Neyland Sept. 20 and 22. Just under two hours after tickets for the first show went on sale July 17, a second date was added “due to overwhelming demand.”

If tickets continue to sell out fast, the Billboard chart-topper and Gibbs High School graduate might have to add a third, which could fit in his busy schedule.

Could Morgan Wallen add a third show in Knoxville?

Prior to arriving to Knoxville to take over Neyland, Wallen will be closing out his first-ever European tour. The final European show is Sept. 8 in Dublin, Ireland and he’ll have about two weeks before his next concert, the Sept. 20 show in Knoxville.

Wallen will then have a day off to enjoy being back in his hometown before he headlines Neyland, again, on Sept. 22. The One Night at Time tour won’t resume until Oct. 4 in Tampa, according to its schedule as of July 18.

Though touring artists and crews need rest, if the demand continues to be “overwhelming,” it is possible in the tour schedule for Wallen to squeeze in a third concert at Neyland.

What would be the possible dates for a third Morgan Wallen show in Knoxville?

The only other scheduled September event at Neyland is the University of Tennessee vs. Kent State University football game on Sept. 14.

Based on a review of Wallen’s tour schedule and Neyland’s schedule, here are the possible dates Wallen could perform a third show in Knoxville in September:

  • Sept. 9-13
  • Sept. 15-19
  • Sept. 21
  • Sept. 23-Oct. 3

Where to get Morgan Wallen tickets

Tickets for the Sept. 20 show and the Sept. 22 show are available through Ticketmaster.

As of July 18 afternoon, the webpage for both shows at Neyland still read “Tickets are now on sale,” with a clickable button to “join the queue” for tickets. The wait was not long for either date when Knox News checked for available tickets. Tickets for obstructed stage views were starting around $84.

Fans can purchase VIP Packages for the show, which may include premium tickets, guided backstage tour, group photo on the stage, invitation to the Morgan Wallen VIP Lounge, VIP-exclusive gift item and more.

Neyland Stadium’s seating capacity is 101,915, nearly five times that of Thompson-Boling Arena at Food City Center, a far more frequent venue for concerts. Over 150,000 fans are expected to attend Wallen’s shows across both nights, according to a press release from Essential Broadcast Media.
