Moore Police is investigating an alleged threat circulating among students on Snapchat.

Police said the threat appears to name the Moore Public Schools district by using the abbreviation “MHS”.

Moore Police posted an update Tuesday morning saying the threat does not appear credible and seems to be associated with a growing trend involving other school districts with the abbreviations of “MHS”.

The department encouraged students, teachers, and families to remain vigilant and report suspicious behavior.

Police said out of an abundance of caution there will be an increased police presence on school grounds and throughout the city.
