Bogus artist rapped for stealing money from elderly woman

A former Douglasville resident has gone from supposedly spitting bars to spending time behind them after posing as a rapper and later an attorney to defraud a 65-year-old Douglasville woman out of nearly $50,000.

Last week, a Douglas County grand jury indicted Jayquan Goldsby, 24, of Tucson, Ariz., for exploitation of a disabled or elderly adult, two counts of theft by deception, four counts of deposit account fraud, two counts of financial transaction card fraud, identity theft and unauthorized practice of law.
