InExeter wins national award at Britain In Bloom awards

A group has won a national award for its work improving the look and feel of Exeter’s streetscape.

InExeter won the Best Business Improvement District at the national Britain In Bloom awards on Wednesday.

The group funds and maintains hanging baskets, planters, public artwork and lighting installations in the city.

Mattie Richardson, projects manager at InExeter, said she was delighted to receive national acclaim for the group’s efforts.

“Each year, we have built on our knowledge and expertise to deliver impactful planting,” she said.

“Our love for the city drives all our efforts to create a safer, cleaner, and greener environment – a vibrant community where everyone can thrive.”

InExeter chief executive Nicola Wheeler added: “This accolade is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve when businesses unite for a common purpose.

“Over the past decade, InExeter has led efforts to improve the city’s appeal through environmental investments.

“As we approach the ballot for our third term, we take pride in our journey and look forward to building on this collective success.”
