USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital holds dedication for new sculpture by Mobile native

MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – An exciting new art display was dedicated Friday at USA Health Children’s & Women’s Hospital.

The sculpture, titled “Bed of Flowers,” was completed in October and features 120 pink to magenta cast aluminum flowers on the top of bronze stands that look like stems.

Artist Gay Outlaw, a Mobile native who lives in San Francisco, has had her art displayed around the world. This is the first public sculpture she created for her hometown of Mobile.

USA President Jo Bonner was on hand for the dedication of the artwork, as was Debbie Browning, the hospital CEO.
