KATSEYE & LA Rams Cheerleaders, Anderson .Paak & J.Y. Park to Team Up for MAMA Awards Collab Performances

The 2024 MAMA Awards are around the corner, and for the first time ever, the event will feature a ceremony in the U.S. To celebrate, two new performance collaborations were announced featuring a fusion between global music and K-pop.

Anderson .Paak and J.Y. Park will collaborate for a performance during the event, before KATSEYE takes the stage with the Los Angeles Rams cheerleaders for a dynamic team-up.

“The best blues funk performance in MAMA history will be showcased with me playing piano while Anderson playing drums and delight the audience with our vibrant performance,” J.Y. Park said in a press statement, while .Paak added: “J.Y. Park has been Korea’s leading producer and singer-songwriter for 30 years, building the foundation of K-pop and shaping its history. It’s truly an honor for me to share the stage with such a legendary artist. While I’m often inspired by the energy of younger artists, collaborating with J.Y. Park, who has dedicated so many years to music, has sparked new inspiration in me as well.”

The three-day event, which celebrates the brightest stars in K-pop, will kick off on Nov. 21 at the Hollywood Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for the first time, where YOUNG POSSE, ILLIT, RIIZE and TWS will also perform. The awards ceremony will then take place at the Kyocera Dome in Osaka, Japan on November 22 and 23, with ENHYPEN, TOMORROW X TOGETHER, IVE, ME:I and TREASURE performing on the first day and Aespa, INI, ZEROBASEONE, LEE Young Ji and MEOVV taking the stage on the second day. Actor Park Bo-gum and actress Kim Tae-ri will host the Japan event.
