WACO, Texas (KWTX) – Midway High School Principal Alison Smith says that an individual has been detained after making a threat towards the school on social media overnight.
Smith says the Midway ISD Police Department and other local law enforcement responded promptly, and the person responsible for making the threat has been detained.
In the statement, Smith reminded parents to speak with their children about the seriousness of making a threat, even as a joke, and the potential consequences of doing so.
