DEAN and FKJ may have just produced the most ethereal record of the year.
Today (November 27), the K-R&B icon took to Instagram to tease a possible collaboration with platinum-selling electro-funk artist and producer FKJ. In this cryptic post, the artists pose alongside a piano in dim candlelight, hinting at a potential musical tie-up with a caption reads, “November 29 at 1 p.m. with [FKJ].”
This would mark DEAN’s latest collaboration, after recently teaming up with fellow Korean act BIBI for her single “Burn.” In 2023, the Korean R&B star made his highly anticipated return to music with “DIE 4 YOU.” The feature explores a darker sound to the singer-songwriter, as the moody downbeat tone highlights his electro-R&B production in a different angle.
On FKJ’s side, this potential partnership would also be his first musical drop since the release of his album V I N C E N T in 2022. As both artists explore a similar kind of genre-defying production, the potential of their joint work could lead to one of the most exciting experimental releases to come out this year.
