Celebrate Small Business Saturday in Old Algiers with Holiday Art Market
Support local artists and enjoy festive fun at Old Algiers’ Small Business Saturday Holiday Art Market, featuring music, food, and family-friendly activities
This year’s Small Business Saturday is bringing holiday cheer and economic activity to Old Algiers with a festive Holiday Art Market. From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Nov. 30, the Old Algiers Main Street Corporation will host local artists and artisans at Delcazal Park. Visitors will have the chance to purchase unique creations ranging from jewelry and photography to holiday-themed items like door mats.In addition to the market, live music will be provided by the All Saints Gospel Choir and the Confetti Kids Chorus, creating a joyful atmosphere for the community. The market is part of the Home Grown Holidays campaign, supported by the New Orleans Business Alliance, which highlights local creative talent and small businesses.As part of the festive season, Old Algiers will also host a Second Line Parade with Santa on Dec. 21. Santa will ride through the neighborhood in a golf cart, handing out candy and trinkets, followed by the West Bank Jazz Band.Other holiday events in Old Algiers include the Algiers Holiday Bonfire on Dec. 7 and the Holy Name of Mary Christmas Festival on Dec. 14.
