Meetup-Encouraging Social Networks

The ‘Mozi’ private social network is a tool for helping users to spend more time meeting up with friends in real life (IRL) rather than simply existing in the digital space to maximize feelings of connectedness.

The platform works with a user’s existing phone contacts to create a private friend list and will send notifications back and forth when they are in the same area at the same time. This will encourage users to meet up for a coffee, dinner or drinks without having to go through the endless back and forth for a more impromptu experience.

The ‘Mozi’ private social network was developed by Twitter and Medium co-founder Ev Williams, and is arriving now on the App Store for iPhones with an Android app coming soon.
