In keeping with the theme for the 2025 World’s Oldest Rodeo, “Tipping Our Hats to Women in Rodeo,” the Prescott Frontier Days Foundation is seeking a local woman artist to capture the spirit of these pioneering women and recognize their contributions to the sport.

Prescott Frontier Days Women in Rodeo Graphic with details as listed in the article.

The Foundation – the giving hand of Prescott Frontier Days — is open to artists’ suggestions for an original painting, from which posters and t-shirts will be made and sold, with proceeds benefitting our local community and youth programs. The Foundation frames and auctions the winning painting, with those funds also put toward scholarships.

Since the beginning of this popular program in 2012, these artist incentives have been offered: 16 rodeo passes (2 per performance with media pass); 200 posters; an artist reception for rodeo members and the public; and a press release in local newspapers, magazines, social media, and the rodeo website. The artist has the added benefit of becoming part of history as an artist for the World’s Oldest Rodeo. The Foundation requests 50 signed and numbered posters from the artist as well as appearances at the rodeo. Previous artists have reported significant interest in their work after providing the winning painting.

The Prescott Frontier Days Foundation, Inc., a 501c3 organization, is a charitable arm of Prescott Frontier Days, Inc. It provides donors with the means to make tax-deductible contributions to support the Foundation and its charitable outreach programs. In addition, the Foundation educates the public about the Western heritage and historical significance of the Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo and provides emergency financial assistance to deserving citizens of Yavapai County.

For more information, please call Mary Ann Suttles at (928) 713-3036 or Danielle Adams at (928) 273-4882. The 138th World’s Oldest Rodeo is June 30 through July 6, 2025.
