A sudden rush of American users has shot RedNote, a Chinese social media and e-commerce platform, to the top of both the Apple and Google app store charts.
Known in China as Xiaohongshu, RedNote saw more than 700,000 new sign-ups in North America over just two days.
This dramatic growth comes as TikTok faces a U.S. ban on Sunday, prompting many users to seek alternative platforms.
RedNote’s downloads in the U.S. have shot up by over 200% compared to the same time last year.
