Are you a performing artist aged 18 – 35yrs residing in Naarm on the Sovereign lands of the Wurundjeri Woi-wurrung and Bunurong Boon Wurrung Peoples of the Kulin Nation? Are you a Femme from a Global First Nations Background? Are you ready to delve into the process of creating with the genre defying Hot Brown Honey? Then we got you!
Hive City Legacy – Naarm Chapter is a guided, process driven project for Black, Indigenous, and POC (BIPOC) Femmes aged 18–35 to develop storytelling skills, amplify voices, and centre lived experiences through professional development, mentorship and collaboration. Culminating in a performance season at Melbourne Arts Centre’s Show Room, the project explores the global conversations on race, gender, identity, body image, decolonisation and more through performance making.
Created by the award-winning Hot Brown Honey (Helpmann, Green Rooms, UK Total Theatre Awards), this collaborative, intersectional project has been presented in London and Dublin. Whether you’re a singer, writer, dancer, poet, comedian, or performing artist of any kind, Hive City Legacy – Naarm Chapter is the opportunity to learn, create, collaborate and celebrate.
