Pune: Mundhwa Police Nab Two Accused for Robbing Young Man After Meeting on LGBTQ Social Networking App

In the robbing incident that took place recently, where a few individuals robbed an individual by asking him to meet, the Mundhwa police have arrested two individuals. Karan, alias Carrie (Bapu) Vishal Lacharkar (age 23, a resident of Tadiwala Road), and Manish Baban Nimbalkar (age 21, a resident of Gopalpatti, Manjari, and an original native of Ralegan Mhasoba, Taluka, District Ahilyanagar) are the names of the arrested accused.

An individual got acquainted with the accused, Karan Lacharkar, on the LGBTQ social networking application Grindr. After some chatting between them, the accused called the individual to meet in Magarpatta, and from there, he took the individual to the open space in front of Laxmi Lawns in the night on his bike.

While they were reaching there, another accomplice of the accused had already been waiting for them at the location. After Karan Lacharkar and the young man reached there, both the accused threatened to kill the young man and then skedaddled from there by forcibly taking the gold chain from his neck. This incident had taken place on January 23 at around 9 p.m.

Initially, the young man did not file a complaint, fearing disrepute. However, he gave a complaint in this regard two days ago at Mundhwa Police Station. After that, Mundhwa police detained the accused based on the tip-off of Police Amaldar Vinod Salunke. Further, from his interrogation, the police arrested his accomplice Manish Nimbalkar within 24 hours of lodging the complaint.

Assistant Police Inspector Raju Mahanor is investigating further in this case.

This action was taken by the team of Assistant Police Inspector Raju Mahanor, Police Amaldar Vinod Salunke, Shivaji Jadhav, Yogesh Gaikwad, Rahul Dhotre, Raju Kadam, Akshay Dhumal, Swapnil Raskar, and Yogesh Raut under the guidance of Additional Police Commissioner Manoj Patil, Deputy Commissioner of Police Dr. Rajkumar Shinde, Assistant Police Commissioner Anuradha Udmale, and Senior Police Inspector Nilkanth Jagtap.
