Clean Bandit are one of the most well-known bands in the UK. Since their first single ‘A&E’ in 2012, the Cambridge trio have shot to stardom and staked their claim as one of the most popular bands in the country, with songs such as ‘Rockabye’, ‘Rather Be’ and ‘Solo’.

Their unique combination of classical and electronic music has seen them win many Number 1s since they formed the band in 2011 – but their most popular songs have been with other artists. Here’s are all of Clean Bandit’s collaboration so far, from Demi Lovato to Mabel and beyond…

Who have Clean Bandit collaborated with?

‘Mozart’s House’ – featuring Love Ssega, 2010

Clean Bandit’s first song, ‘Mozart’s House’, was actually re-released with a video in 2013 after its original 2010 debut and features London singer Love Ssega. He’s not appeared in too much since, but his SoundCloud profile is pretty active. The track reached number 17 in the UK charts.

‘Telephone Banking’ – featuring Love Ssega, 2011

The band worked with Love Ssega once again on ‘Telephone Banking’.

‘UK Shanty’ – featuring Eliza Shaddad, 2012

Clean Bandit made ‘UK Shanty’ with London artist Eliza Shaddad was one of their earliest songs. Eliza has just brought out single ‘My Body’.

‘A&E’ – featuring Kandaka Moore and Nikki Cislyn, 2012

Clean Bandit’s first single was a collaboration with Kandaka Moore and Nikki Cislyn. ‘A&E’ was released in 2012, and peaked at number 100 on the UK charts. Kandaka is best known for this song and for appearing as a dancer in Clean Bandit’s music video for ‘Tears’, whereas Nikki (real name Nicole Marshall) is a singer-songwriter signed to Sony Music Entertainment.

‘Nightingale’ – featuring Nikki Cislyn, 2012

The band teamed up with Nikki once again for ‘Nightingale’, also produced in 2012. It wasn’t released as a single.

‘Intentions’ – Gorgon City featuring Clean Bandit, 2013

This time, it was Clean Bandit’s turn to be featured artist! They collaborated with DJ Gorgon City in 2013 for ‘Intentions’.

‘Rather Be’ – featuring Jess Glynne, 2014

Arguably Clean Bandit’s first major song, ‘Rather Be’ also helped launch Jess Glynne’s career. It reached number 1 in the UK charts and was certified Triple Platinum.

‘Extraordinary’ – featuring Sharna Bass, 2014

Sharna was just 17-years-old when she featured on Clean Bandit’s follow-up, ‘Extraordinary’. The song peaked at number 5 in the UK charts and was certified Silver.

‘Come Over’ – featuring Stylo G, 2014

Stylo G (real name Jason McDermott) has worked with Sub Focus and Pixie Lott on her 2017 single, ‘Won’t Forget You’. This song reached 45 on the UK charts.

‘Real Love’ – featuring Jess Glynne, 2014

Clean Bandit partnered up with Jess Glynne once again for ‘Real Love’, which peaked at number 2 in the UK charts and was certified Platinum.

‘Tears’ – featuring Louisa Johnson, 2016

Clean Bandit returned in 2016 with ‘Tears’, a collaboration with The X Factor 2015 winner Louisa Johnson. It reached number 5 in the UK charts and was certified Platinum.

‘Rockabye’ – featuring Sean Paul & Anne-Marie

It’s pretty fair to say that ‘Rockabye’ is one of Clean Bandit’s biggest songs so far! Featuring the legend Sean Paul and Anne-Marie, who has become a huge star in her own right over the last couple of years, the song reached number 1 in the UK and was certified Double Platinum.

‘Symphony’ – featuring Zara Larsson, 2017

This collaboration with Swedish popstar Zara Larsson became one of the best songs of the year, charting at number 1 in the UK and being certified Double Platinum.

Clean Bandit collaborated with Marina and the Diamonds for their 2017 song ‘Disconnect’.

‘I Miss You’ – featuring Julia Michaels, 2017

The band collaborated with prolific singer/songwriter Julia Michaels for their 2017 track, ‘I Miss You’. It reached Number 4 in the UK charts and was certified Platinum.

‘Baby’ – featuring Marina and Luis Fonsi, 2018

This Clean Bandit’s collaboration features Luis Fonsi and Marina. The song, called ‘Baby’, is the follow-up to, ‘Solo’.

‘Higher’ – featuring iann dior, 2021

In 2021, Clean Bandit and Puerto Rican-American rapper iann dior released their collab ‘Higher’. The song’s music video has now had more than 11 million views on YouTube.

‘Drive’ – featuring Wes Nelson and Topic, 2021

On 6th August 2021, the music video premiered for Clean Bandit’s collab with ex-Love Island star Wes Nelson, as well as Topic. The track, called ‘Drive’ was a huge hit!

‘How Will I Know’ – featuring Whitney Houston, 2022

In 2022, Clean Bandit reworked Whitney Houston’s classic ‘How Will I Know’. A new video was released and it has now had more than 8 million views YouTube.

‘Everything But You’ – featuring A7S, 2022

Clean Bandit and A7S released ‘Everything But You’ in February 2022. The song was co-written by Clean Bandit members Grace Chatto and Jack Patterson, along with A7S, Digital Farm Animals, Tom Grennan and British songwriter Phil Plested.

Clean Bandit teamed up with French The Kid and Rema on their song ‘Sad Girls’.

‘Don’t Leave Me Lonely’ – Elley Duhé, 2022

Clean Bandit x Elley Duhé released ‘Don’t Leave Me Lonely’ in December 2022. The music video was purposely made to look grainy by recording it in digitally and then putting onto VHS.

Who are Clean Bandit?

Clean Bandit are a music group made up of members Grace Chatto and brothers Jack Patterson and Luke Patterson. After meeting at the University of Cambridge, the group came together with former members Ssegawa-Ssekintu Kiwanuka and Neil Amin-Smith to make music together.

How did Clean Bandit get famous?

After releasing singles ‘A+E’, ‘Mozart’s House’ and ‘Dust Clears’, the trio came together with singer Jess Glynne to make ‘Rather Be’, which not only catapulted their own careers into the spotlight, but also hers. The song topped the charts all over the world, and the band can attribute their first real success to the song.

Clean Bandit’s latest song

Clean Bandit have now started to tease some new music, while they have not confirmed what it is called, they have said the ‘new songs are now ready’, and that the ‘clean bandit drought it over’. (sic)

‘Don’t Leave Me Lonely’

Clean Bandit’s most recent song is with American singer Elley Duhé. The music video for ‘Don’t Leave Me Lonely’ was uploaded to YouTube in late 2022, and features the singer and band members.

In the video’s description they explain how it was created: ‘Guys!!!! A further experiment in our 3D world: welcome to the clean bandit Lonely Performance video with Elley Duhé. Shouts to Rob Daglish on the edit, Matthew Blacklock on colour, Sam skirrow on 3D background, Jack Foster on VHS transfer (we made everything digitally and then jack transferred to vhs to get this grain central effect!!!). Shout out DoP Krystian Winszewski, Lighting by Noah Furrer and London Lighting, and massive shout out to the best studio with the blue screen’. (sic)

Clean Bandit’s albums

The band released their debut album ‘New Eyes’ in June 2014, releasing a special edition which also featured their second collaboration with Jess Glynne, ‘Real Love’. It reached Number 3 in the UK charts and has been certified Gold in the UK.

The follow-up album ‘What Is Love?’ was delayed due to technical issues, but was finally released in November 2018. Following the success of their previous collaborations, Clean Bandit teamed up with more huge stars for most of the songs on this album, including Louisa Johnson on ‘Tears’, Sean Paul and Anne-Marie on ‘Rockabye’, Zara Larsson for ‘Symphony’, Demi Lovato for ‘Solo’ as well as Julia Michaels, Marina, Ellie Goulding, Rita Ora, Craig David and Charli XCX.

Despite releasing several songs since their second album, the band have not officially announced a third album. In an interview at Hits Live in Liverpool in May 2022, Clean Bandit did reveal a little more information saying there would be: “More bangers, more music, more touring.”

Grace went on to say: “Hopefully an album, not too far away,” however, she wouldn’t give us any more details!

What instruments do Clean Bandit play?

On the first album, Grace Chatto played the cello and also provided vocals, Luke Patterson played the drums and Jack Patterson played keyboards, piano, bass, steel drums and also provided backing vocals as well as mixing and production.

On the second album, Grace played the same as before, as well as bass, synths and also the grand marimba, as well as mixing and production. Luke was responsible for drums and percussion, and Jack played the same instruments as before as well as synths, trumpet, flute, baritone saxophone and an accordion. Wow!
