After Diljit Dosanjh’s recent successful events, tickets sold out quickly, leading singer AP Dhillon to suggest this as a smart marketing move. On The Ranveer Show, singer AP Dhillon discussed the situation and shared his views on his disagreements with Diljit, a discussion that has gained significant attention on social media.
In the interview, when asked about the truth of music concerts, he said, “India mei abhi crisis aa jayega agar isi hisaab se chalta raha. (India will have a crisis if things continue like this). Artists are being unfair with their own fans ki 15 seconds mei sell out ho gye show, kuch bhi sell out nhi hua hai. All the way to marketing, promoters ko ticket de dete hai, their fans, ab unko wait krni padti hai aur higher price mei ticket khareedna padta hai.” (It’s a marketing strategy because of which fans need to buy the tickets at a higher price.)
He added, “At some point, hume bhi laga hai ki should we play this game, but then we were like ki no we can’t go to bed knowing that ki humne apne fans, jinhone show dekhna hai, unke saath humne aisa kiya hai. But you name it, koi bhi show ho raha hai jo sold out hai, mujhe batao, 2,000 tickets chahiye, kal hi dilwa dunga. It’s like log yeh music ko game ki tarah khel rhe hai, ussi mei mazaa kharab ho gya hai.” (But you name it, any show is going on which is sold out, tell me, 2,000 tickets are required, it will be delivered tomorrow. It’s like they are playing music like a game, that’s why the fun is getting spoiled.”)
He further called it a ‘dirty game’ of the music industry. Although he didn’t name specific artists, the hints at Diljit and the fact that his shows sell out in 15-30 seconds made it clear that everyone recognized it was about him.
AP Dhillon Feud With Diljit Dosanjh
A video that quickly gained attention on social media showed AP Dhillon claiming that Diljit Dosanjh had blocked him on Instagram. This sparked significant chatter among fans and the media about a potential disagreement between the two musicians.
Following a concert, Diljit addressed the situation on Instagram. He posted a screenshot of AP Dhillon’s profile and wrote: “I never blocked you. Mere pange sarkaaran naal ho sakde aa, kalaakaran naal nahi (My issues can be with the government, but not with fellow artists).”
In response, AP Dhillon shared another video on his Instagram, showing how Diljit’s account appeared before and after the alleged blocking. He added a message saying: “I wasn’t going to say anything, knowing I’d get backlash anyway, but at least now we know what’s real and what’s not.”
