Witchcraft allegations within the Ugandan music industry keep pouring in day by day as creatives point fingers at one another.
Singer Aroma has testified about how a fellow artist asked her to pay for money for witchcraft before they promoted their collabo.
She revealed that the artist asked for Shs 1m but she failed to raise the money and he had refused to do the song until she gave in Shs 500k.
Aroma stated that she obliged to paying the money because she was frustrated with the project even after shooting the visuals.
After doing the song, he told me not to release the song without performing witchcraft. They declined to do anything about it, and I was stuck with it.
I had to look for the money and I sent it. I got frustrated because of the song. They asked me for Shs 1m, which I didn’t have, I sent Shs 500k.
She also disclosed that the song frastrusted her more when she paid the money for performing witchcraft and later the same artist asked her to pay Shs 15m for promoting the same project.
When she failed to pay the money, the project they recorded was never promoted.
