Art Creations closing after 50 years of business

After 50 years in business, Art Creations will close. The owner said the Frazier Ave. incident was a nail in the coffin for her business.

The Mines Family announced to customers on Tuesday, January 30, through email that the decision does not come lightly, but they are “at complete peace” closing the chapter in their lives.

The email explained that the founder, Tony Mines, passed away from leukemia in October of 2019. His children, Jessica and Jason, have ran the store since. This year, they achieved their Dad’s greatest dream of Art Creations turning 50-years-old.

The business will be selling their remaining inventory and fixtures for the next 30 to 45 days until they are ready to close. Custom framing sales will end on Friday, February 2.

The owners stated:

“It has been an honor to serve the Chattanooga community for 50 years. We have loved being a member of the ever evolving artistic community and creating relationships with each of you.”
