Arthur business applies for public art grant to expand popular mural

ARTHUR – Local business and tourist destination, Casa Verde Imports has applied for the township’s help to expand an existing mural on the property.

Coming to Wellington North council for approval next Monday, the project is anticipated to cost $1,250 using a public art grant.

While the mural already “draws customers in,” owners Brian and Jennifer Green said they’ve been discussing how to expand the design since it was created by a local artist last year and the new “eye candy” will help make the business into a destination stop for visitors travelling north while building up the Arthur business community.

Not including Casa Verde’s application, the township has used its Community Improvement Program to approve $10,250 between four groups in 2024 so far.
