This extraordinary version of the already acclaimed book published in December 2024 reflects the immense cultural influence of JAY-Z. Daniel Arsham, the artist behind the iconic HOV Hands sculpture originally created for the immersive exhibition The Book of HOV: A Tribute, held at the Brooklyn Public Library in 2023, reinterprets this artistic vision in a new medium.
Limited to just five numbered copies, the Special Limited Edition is encased in an impressive white-bronze clamshell, which weighs 35 pounds and measures 15 x 18 x 4 inches. The case is crafted in Arsham’s signature eroded style and features etchings of some of his most iconic lyrics. The title, “The Book of HOV,” is presented in oversized embossed lettering, merging the artist’s unique aesthetic with the significance of Shawn Carter’s legacy.

Held from July to December 2023 The Book Of HOV: A Tribute exhibit attracted over 600,000 visitors, making it one of the largest public installations in U.S. history.
The Book of HOV features eight chapters, each titled after lines from JAY-Z’s lyrics, detailing the pillars of Shawn Carter’s influence, encompassing his artistry, entrepreneurship, and activism.
