Bentley
Americas
has
announced
a
unique
collaboration
with
renowned
tattoo
artist
Keith
“Bang
Bang”
McCurdy.
Known
for
his
work
on
celebrities,
Bang
Bang’s
company,
Bang
Bang
Tattoo,
recently
introduced
Magic
Ink.
This
innovative
ink
allows
tattoos
to
be
turned
on
and
off
using
specific
light
wavelengths.
The
partnership
debuted
with
an
art
car
featuring
a
UV-activated
design
during
Miami
Art
Week.
The
collaboration
between
Bentley
and
Bang
Bang
highlights
the
intersection
of
artistic
innovation
and
luxury
automotive
design.
Bang
Bang,
along
with
his
team
of
over
35
artists
across
15
countries,
captures
personal
stories
through
tattoos.
This
approach
mirrors
Bentley
Mulliner’s
bespoke
vehicle
creations,
which
reflect
the
passions
of
their
owners.
“This
is
an
exciting
exploration
of
the
realm
of
artistic
customization
in
an
entirely
new
medium,”
said
Bang
Bang.
During
Miami
Art
Week
2024,
Bentley
showcased
its
Art
in
Motion
event.
Attendees
experienced
a
multi-sensory
display
that
included
projection
mapping
and
UV
light
installations.
A
Bentley
Bentayga
EWB
served
as
the
canvas
for
a
collaborative
design
by
Bang
Bang
and
Bentley
Mulliner
designers.
The
design
was
inspired
by
the
contrasts
within
the
Bentley
range
and
this
new
partnership.
Rich
Morris,
Design
Consultant
for
Bentley
Mulliner,
described
the
car’s
design
elements:
“Initially,
the
car’s
façade
presents
harsh,
tessellated
shapes
on
the
bonnet.”
These
shapes
represent
tension
at
the
start
of
a
journey.
As
one
moves
along
the
car,
these
shapes
transition
into
a
fluid
pattern
along
the
sides,
evoking
water
droplets
and
creating
Bentley’s
signature
Azure
diamond
motif.
The
influence
of
Bang
Bang
adds
dynamic
energy
reminiscent
of
Bentley’s
performance-focused
Speed
range.
During
the
reveal,
ultraviolet
lights
illuminated
bold
artwork
symbolising
unleashed
potential.
This
vivid
depiction
complements
Bentley’s
design
by
occupying
negative
spaces,
creating
harmony
between
tranquility
and
vigor.
Personalised
Expression
Together,
Bentley
and
Bang
Bang
redefine
customisation
by
merging
artistic
innovation
with
automotive
excellence.
Clients
can
incorporate
personal
stories
into
a
one-of-a-kind
Bentley.
From
cherished
memories
to
iconic
imagery,
this
collaboration
allows
individuals
to
transform
a
Bentley
into
a
drivable
expression
of
personal
identity.
Mike
Rocco,
President
and
CEO
of
Bentley
Americas,
remarked:
“Bentley
has
always
pushed
the
boundaries
to
deliver
the
ultimate
in
craftsmanship.”
He
added
that
this
introduction
with
Bang
Bang
showcases
their
commitment
to
blending
artistry
and
ingenuity
in
bespoke
luxury.
This
collaboration
sets
a
new
standard
for
future
innovations
by
capturing
elegance
and
dynamic
energy
in
one
vehicle.
The
next
iteration
of
Bentley
x
Bang
Bang
is
scheduled
for
release
in
2025.
