K-pop group BTS once again emerged as Spotify’s Global K-Pop Artist!
The group retained their spot on top, followed by Blackpink, BTS member Jungkook, NewJeans, and Stray Kids.
Meanwhile, other BTS members – Jimin, V, Agust D (Suga), and J-Hope also made it to the list, peaking at sixth, eleventh, sixteenth, and twentieth place, respectively.
Jungkook’s debut solo single, “Seven (feat. Latto), emerged as Spotify’s K-Pop song of the year. It also made history as the fastest song to hit one billion streams on the streaming platform in just 108 days and join the Spotify Billions Club.
His songs “Dreamers [Music from the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Official Soundtrack]” and 3D “(feat. Jack Harlow)” also charted on the top 20 list at #12 and #14, respectively.
Some of the most-streamed K-Pop songs of the year also include “Cupid – Twin Ver.” by FIFTY FIFTY, “Like Crazy” by Jimin, and “OMG” by NewJeans.
Aside from “Like Crazy,” Jimin’s “Set Me Free Pt. 2” (#15), and “Like Crazy (English Version)” (#17) also made it to the list of this year’s most-streamed K-Pop tracks.
Three BTS members are already serving in the South Korean military. Jin enlisted in December 2022, followed by j-Hope in April 2023, and Suga in September 2023.
The remaining BTS members RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook are already gearing up for their military service with Jungkook confirming his enlistment this December.
