The Vintage Trunk opens in downtown Tyler
A new destination for antique lovers has opened in downtown Tyler. The Vintage Trunk, located at 253 S. Broadway Ave., made its debut in early June, offering a curated collection of vintage, primitive and antique home décor, collectibles, oddities and toys.
The store features a wide range of items, from highly collectible pieces to budget-friendly finds under $1. Tyler native and store owner Scharlanne Powell Crozier said her lifelong passion for antiques began in childhood.

“My interest in antiques started early in life. When I was young, I wandered through antique stores and malls with my parents while on vacation and later in life attended antique shows and fairs along with flea markets,” Crozier shared on the store’s website. “I delight in connecting customers with pieces that resonate with their family’s histories or their own interests.”
Owning an antique shop has long been Crozier’s dream. While every item is for sale, she said the store is more than just a retail space.
“It’s a place where locals and East Texas visitors can go to browse, reminisce, or learn,” she said. “The shop is filled with surprising and unusual finds that you may not want to pass up.”
The Vintage Trunk is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The building was previously home to Velvet: A Vintage Collection, which relocated in April to 235 S. Broadway Ave.
