YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio – Kelly S. Darney has joined the staff at The Butler Institute of American Art as director of business.
Darney oversees business relations for the museum as well as some human resources duties.
Darney has more than 30 years of experience in education, including elementary, post-secondary teaching and administration.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a master’s degree in library and information science at Kent State University.
She has a background in research and information, as well as years of experience in school administration centering on leadership and finance.
Darney earned her doctorate in education from Youngstown State University in educational administration in 2017.
She has been published in several research journals and has also published a local history book and several historical references based in Columbiana County.
