Cape Cod Museum Of Art Hosts Panel Discussion On Women In The Arts

On Thursday, March 13, at 5 PM, the Cape Cod Museum of Art in Dennis will host a panel discussion titled “She Says—Women Leading and Inspiring in The Arts.” The event is in conjunction with the current exhibition “She Said: Celebrating Women Artists in the CCMoA Permanent Collection,” curated by the museum docents. The exhibition aligns with Women’s History Month and is on view through May 20.

The “She Says” panel brings together three women who have made significant contributions to the arts on Cape Cod and beyond. These trailblazers will share their experiences, challenges and triumphs in the arts community. Panelists include portrait artist Jo Hay, well known for her large-scale portrait paintings representing contemporary, trailblazing women in their pursuit of justice; Gwen Marcus, one of the foremost figurative sculptors in the United States; and Cherie Mittenthal, painter, ceramicist and executive director of Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill.
