Staff at Citilink honored the 111th birthday of Rosa Parks, commemorated as Transit Equity Day, with a special celebration on Friday.
Earlier Friday morning, Citilink leaders unveiled a bus at Electric Works wrapped in custom artwork inspired by Parks’ work, and created by Fort Wayne Artist Theopolis Smith III. The wrap was sponsored by SEED Fort Wayne, a public transit advocacy group.
Attendees had the opportunity to ride the bus, which will be in operation across the city for at least the next two years. For more information on the bus or Citilink’s services, visit their website.
