
The City of Ekurhuleni is inviting local artists to a social media marketing masterclass at the Germiston Library on May 30.
The masterclass aims to equip creative professionals with essential social media skills to navigate today’s fast-paced digital world.
In an official statement, the city emphasised the importance of social media as a powerful tool for creatives to connect with their audiences and reach potential customers.

“The social media marketing masterclass, curated by the city, is specifically tailored for artistic creatives,” the statement reads.
“It is designed to help them effectively use social media platforms to market, sell, and promote their work and personal brands.”
Key topics to be covered in the masterclass include:
• Content creation for marketing purposes
• Maximising the potential of Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok
• Understanding and identifying your target audience
• Developing a social media content strategy
• Growing an online presence and audience
The event will start at 09:00 and end at 13:00. It will be held in the library’s Kids Zone Activity Room.
