Creative Lighting in St. Paul goes out of business after 98 years

The Creative Lighting showroom in St. Paul has recently gone dark as the century-old business ends operations.

“After 98 incredible years, it is with both gratitude and a heavy heart that we announce the closing of our doors,” a Sept. 9 announcement reads. “For nearly a century, we’ve had the privilege of lighting homes, businesses, and lives, and it has been an honor to serve such a loyal and supportive community.”

A liquidation auction is being held by Grafe Auction, with items including a wide selection of light fixtures, furniture, glassware, holiday decor and other home items.

“To all our customers, patrons, and partners over the years: Thank you,” the closing announcement continues. “Your trust, friendship, and continued support have meant the world to us, and we are forever grateful for the memories we’ve created together.”

The statement concludes: “While this chapter comes to a close, the light we’ve shared will always shine brightly. Thank you for being a part of our journey.”
