Canadian music producer Deadmau5 will be pumping his electronic dance music to a sold-out El Paso crowd later this year. It is an 18+ show.
The Canadian progressive-house producer, who wears his iconic “mau5head” mask, will be in town on Dec. 19 at 11:11, 9740 Dyer Suite 117, according to the club’s Instagram account. And within a few hours, the show has sold out.
Deadmau5, whose real name is Joel Zimmerman, is considered one of the world’s most respected electronic music producers, according to edmtunes. He has released seven critically acclaimed albums and has enjoyed international chart success with two times platinum-certified single ‘Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff’.
With several social media channels, his fan base reaches more than 15 million fans. He has appeared at the largest music festivals, including Coachella and Bonaroo in Australia. He did appear in El Paso in 2016, helping El Pasoans celebrate the new year at the New Year’s Eve bash, Lights All Night EDM Festival.
Earlier this year, he celebrated 25 years of Deadmau5 shows sold out at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and the Brooklyn Mirage in New York City. He also debuted a new single, Quezacotl, which should appeal to long-time fans.
