Department stores have stepped up their “art marketing” for spring. Various unique exhibition spaces will be introduced for consumers looking for spring outings.

According to related industries on the 17th, Shinsegae Department Store will hold an exhibition called “Art Furniture: Cabinet Room” at Shinsegae Gallery in Daegu until the 30th of next month with Seo Soo-hyun, Kim Jung-seop, and Ha Tae-im.

Shinsegae composes a sensual space with 34 art furniture and various art works with exotic aesthetics like the 17th-century European ‘Cabinet’, which revealed its taste through jewelry, painting, and sculpture.

The art furniture of Seo Soo-hyun, Kim Jung-seop, Superposition, and Choi Dong-wook melted various formative languages into the furniture.

Shinsegae Gallery Cheongdam, located on the 1st basement floor of the luxury editing shop Bundhe Shop Cheongdam, will hold the “Hanai Yusukejeon,” a Japanese artist famous for his collaboration with global brands, until the 15th of next month.

Under the theme of “Give a Hand, Take a Hand,” the artist conveys the importance of a sense of solidarity between individuals in a disconnected and isolated modern society through “Untitled Series (2024), which depicts three expressionless characters staring at the audience outside the painting and cats and people looking out the window.

It also sells a variety of goods such as “Sweat Shirts (98,000 won)” and “Echo Bag (38,000 won)”, which include the unsolved series and the exhibition title “Give a Hand, Take a Hand” in print.

The gallery on the 6th floor of the Shinsegae Centum City branch will hold an exhibition called “Playmobile in Shinsegae: Small World, Big Gift” until the 23rd.

The exhibition, which celebrates PlayMobile’s 50th anniversary, introduces unique spaces and works that seem to have moved Shinsegae Department Store into a small world under the theme of “PlayMobile Visiting Shinsegae Department Store.” It is designed to be able to touch and experience play mobiles that have been encountered only with miniature toys.
