Details of Fancy Fingers’s album ‘love language’ that features 12 female artists

Fancy Fingers is best known for his role as Sauti Sol’s lead guitarist, producer and performer.

He is also a masterful composer and singer and this can be heard in ‘Love Language’, where he is displaying to his fans his most artistic expression to date.

He has written, composed, mixed and mastered all the songs in the album, with the expert co-writing of his collaborators.

‘Love Language’ transcends borders, while uniting talented artists from across the African continent. Each one of the album’s 12 tracks is a radiant celebration of diversity, culture and sisterhood. From soulful rhythms to vibrant melodies, ‘Love Language’ weaves together a tapestry of love and empowerment.

‘Love Language’ presents a sonic adventure in smooth, groovy and funky tracks that will pull at your heartstrings. Themed love, Fancy Finger states, “It is impossible to tell the story of love without hearing the female perspective.”

The album tackles the seemingly endless cycle of love. From love songs like “Love Language” with Dunnie, “Nyathii Dala” with Lisa Oduor-Noah, “My Fave” with Tamy Moyo to sensual songs like “Mechi” with Femi One and “Show Me Love” with Simmy; breakup songs like “Far Away” with Azawi, “Ego” with Bananas Overdose, “Be My Lover” with Frya to songs about longing to rekindle love like “It’s You” with Njerae–prepare to be enchanted by the harmony, heart and soul of how Fancy Fingers unites and collaborates with Africa’s leading female singers to bring one of the best albums of this decade.

In 2021, Fancy Fingers released his debut solo album ‘Father Studies’ which was a reflection of the life and times of an African father from different viewpoints.

In 2022, he released an Afro Lo-Fi instrumental album ‘Potluck’. It was in ‘Father Studies’ that Fancy Fingers first revealed his singing voice to his fans.

He says, “Music comes to me in the moment and as a moment. I remember when I was young and my brother and I would compose songs and sing them to our Dad while playing the guitar. Singing is something that was always in me and I just feel comfortable to explore this side of my artistry at this point of my career.
