Donald Trump reportedly asked Elon Musk to buy his social networking site Truth Social

According to the Washington Post, former US President Donald Trump reached out to Elon Musk, the prominent figure behind Tesla, SpaceX, and Twitter, to gauge his interest in purchasing Trump’s social media platform, Truth Social.

However, despite their meeting in Palm Beach where discussions on this matter reportedly took place alongside inquiries about potential financial support for Trump’s political endeavors,no agreement was reached between Trump and Musk.

Although Musk has publicly expressed conservative views, he made it clear that he does not endorse any political candidate. It’s worth noting that last summer, amidst a merger process, Musk acquired X (formerly Twitter) for 444 billion in 2022.

What did Musk say about the reports?

When questioned by The Washington Post about his conversation with Trump regarding Truth Social, Musk simply stated that he had never been genuinely interested. Trump’s Media and Technology Group has yet to comment on this matter.

Regarding Trump’s wealth, he possesses a significant real estate portfolio valued at $3.1 billion, including properties in major cities like New York and San Francisco. In New York alone, Trump holds nine real estate assets valued at $1.47 billion, notably including Trump Tower and Sixth Avenue.

Beyond New York, his real estate assets amount to $630 million, spread across locations such as San Francisco and Las Vegas. Additionally, Trump owns golf courses valued at $550 million, including Mar-a-Lago and Trump National Doral Miami.

His branded businesses generate an income of $170 million, with liquid assets totaling $140 million. Overall, Trump’s personal properties, encompassing cash, residences, and aircraft, amount to $310 million in value.
