Women make up roughly 75 percent of workers in the art world, driving transformative change. Yet their contributions often go unseen and undervalued.
In partnership with the Association of Women in the Arts (AWITA), Artnet is launching a pivotal survey to uncover the realities of women’s roles, salaries, benefits, and career advancement opportunities in the fine arts sector. Through first-hand insights and industry analysis, this initiative aims to spotlight challenges and opportunities, shaping a data-driven future for gender equity in the arts.
This survey will take approximately 10 to 12 minutes to complete. Participation is entirely voluntary, and all responses will remain anonymous. At the end of the survey, you will have the option to indicate if you are willing to participate in a follow-up interview.
Later in the year, Artnet News will respond to the survey findings with a package of in-depth articles, expert commentary, and data analysis, culminating in a panel discussion that dives deeper into the results and their broader implications for the art world.
